VENUE

+ Can we decorate?

Yes, you are welcome to decorate the venue. However, nothing can be stuck to the walls or pictures.

+ Do you have a suppliers list?

Yes, you can find that here.

+ Is there outside space?

Yes, we have a large balcony that overlooks the river and is exclusive for your event. The balcony must close at 11pm due to noise restrictions.

+ Is there heating on the balcony?

No, however you are welcome to hire in patio heaters.

+ Where can my guests smoke?

Guests are welcome to smoke on the balcony or outside the venue.

+ Can we have candles?

As we are a wood building all candles will need to be electric.

+ Does the venue have speakers?

Yes, we have built in speakers in the bar area and we have a PA system that you are welcome to use in the Great Hall. We recommend using your band/DJ’s speakers though as they are more professional.

+ Is furniture included?

Yes, all tables (round and long), chairs and sofas are included in the venue hire.


BAR

+ Is there a minimum spend?

No, we are very flexible. You are welcome to have a cash or tab bar for your event.

+ Can we bring in our own wine and sparkling wine?

Yes, you are welcome to bring these in for a corkage charge. This is £15 for wine and £17.50 for sparkling wine.

+ Are staff included with venue hire?

Yes, bar staff and a bar manager are included.

+ Can we use your glassware?

Yes, glassware is included in the venue hire. However, if there are substantial breakages then there will be a breakages charge.

+ What glassware do you provide?

We provide wine glasses, high balls and champagne flutes. If you would like any cocktail glasses you would need to hire these in.

+ Do you accept cards?

Yes, we accept cards and cash.


WEDDINGS

+ Can we get married at the venue?

Yes, we are licensed to have ceremonies at the venue. You will need to contact your local council and Wandsworth Council to give notice of this.

+ Can we have a blessing at the venue?

Yes

+ Where would the ceremony take place?

The ceremony would be in the Great Hall. We then turn the space around for dinner.

+ Can we have confetti?

Yes, you are more than welcome to have a confetti moment at your wedding. This would have to be with real petals.

+ What time do we have access?

We are flexible with access to set up. If we do not have an event the day before you are welcome to come and set up then, however normal access is from 9am on the day.

+ Where is it best to take pictures?

Pictures are lovely on the balcony for you and your guests, it is also lovely to walk along the Embankment to nearby Leaders Gardens.

+ Can we arrive by boat?

Yes, you can arrive by boat, however you will need to speak to a boat company so they can check availability and tide times. They will drop you at Putney Pier.

+ Can I have evening guests, and is there an additional charge?

Yes, you are welcome to have evening guests at no additional charge.

+ Do you have accommodation?

We do not have any accommodation on site. However, there are hotels and Airbnb accommodation in the area.


Music

+ Can we have a band?

Yes, you can have a band and a DJ. Live music is permitted until 11pm, with DJ music until midnight.

+ Can we have acoustic music?

Yes, you can have acoustic music both inside the venue and on the balcony.

+ Is there a crew room for the band?

Yes.

+ Are there stairs to load in?

Yes, there are a few stairs to enter the venue, but we do have a wheelchair lift.

+ Can we plug in an Ipod into your speakers?

Yes.


Pricing & payments

+ How much is the deposit?

The deposit is 50% of the hire fee.

+ When is the final payment due?

Final payment is due three months before the event. Your bar bill and corkage will be due after the event.

+ Is VAT included?

Our venue hire is +VAT.

+ Are there any extra charges for cleaning?

The cleaning fee is included in the venue hire.
